Platform model

Built to take a material from the ground to specification

Europe’s widest gap is in processing: EU capacity covered about 24% of consumption of strategic raw materials between 2016 and 2020, against a 2030 benchmark of 40% (European Court of Auditors, 2026). Hercinia is set up to own deposits and the plants that can help close it.

Functions

Acquire, finance, develop

  1. From above: drill core in rows of core boxes, a geologist examining a half core.
    01

    Acquire

Hercinia plans to take controlling stakes in mineral deposits and in the plants that concentrate, refine and convert them, in Europe.

  2. From above: a stockpile of crushed ore under a conveyor, a surveyor and a wheel loader beside it.
    02

    Finance

Capital will go in against what can be inspected: ore bodies, permits and plants. Each deal will be set up so that public and industrial investors can co-invest.

  3. From above: the steel frame of a new process hall, a mobile crane lifting a beam.
    03

    Develop

Each asset will be taken from resource to qualified material: permitting, construction, qualification on the customer’s production lines and offtake.

From above: a terrain model of an open pit, a works on a river and fields, which becomes the same place in real life as you scroll.

Develop

From plan to reality.

Each site will first be worked out on a model, with the pit, the plant, the river and the fields. Building will start only once that plan is agreed.

Value chain

From resource to end market

  1. From above: a core drill on a meadow at a forest edge, two geologists at rows of core trays.
    01

    Resources

Deposits reported to recognised standards and permitted before construction

  2. From above: open rail wagons under a loading chute, the first ones filled with dark concentrate.
    02

    Concentration

    Ore crushed, concentrated and shipped

  3. From above: tanks, pipes and a solar roof at a refinery, a barge at its quay on the river.
    03

    Processing

Refining and conversion in Europe, to industrial grade

  4. From above: white bulk bags in rows in a factory yard, a forklift and a lorry being loaded.
    04

    Industrial partnerships

Long-term offtake agreements with manufacturers and their tier-one suppliers

  5. From above: a wind turbine over a ploughed field, a regional train on the line beside it, houses with solar roofs.
    05

    End markets

Energy, batteries, agriculture, steel, defence and advanced manufacturing
